Arrival to the hospital

Upon arrival at the hospital, admission staff will manage administrative admission guaranteeing intimacy and confidentiality throughout the process.

What documentation should bring?

• Patient identification document (DNI, Nie, passport ...).
• Authorizations if you are insurance.
• If you have a surgical income scheduled, you must provide the preoperative documentation (set of tests carried out before the operation, at the request of the surgeon) and a copy signed by the patient and the doctor of the informed consent of the surgical procedure they will perform and in their case of anesthesia.
• If you are a private patient, you should provide justification for bank transfer due to the amount of the accepted budget. In the absence of prior bank transfer, payment will be made preferably by credit or cash provided it is a maximum amount of € 2,500. If additional tests and/or stay expansion arise, which involve additional costs to the budget, it will have to Perform an extension of the deposit.

Once the administrative income is made, the nursing staff will accompany and accommodate in your room.

Additional information

• Medical Information: The medical information that needs will be provided by the doctor responsible for their admission. For reasons of confidentiality, information will not be provided by phone.
• Medication: If you are taking medication, take it out and provide the list to the unit nursing team in which you are admitted.
• Allergies: If you are allergic to any medication or any product, it requires a special diet or is in any situation that you consider exceptional, report nursing personnel at the time of admission.
• If you are going to intervene surgically, you should not access the surgical area with oral, ocular, headphones, glasses, jewelry, etc. Deliver these objects to your relatives or companions or, failing that in the safe enabled in each room. Nor must wearing makeup or nail polish. The indications prior to surgical intervention will be facilitated before.

Rooms

The hospital rooms are for individual use and have an additional bed for a companion, as well as bathroom with shower.

 

                                      

The rooms are equipped with:

• Cold/heat air conditioning.
• Beds with electrical control of easy handling movements so that you can change posture whenever you want.
• Nursing call/warning, located in the head of your bed and with which you can notify staff whenever you need it.
• Sex: Although it is recommended not to bring valuable objects, you are offered the possibility of depositing them in the safe of your room.
• Phone.
• Television.
• WIFI: Admissions staff will facilitate information on how to connect.

Accompaniment

A person can accompany him throughout the day, however, the health personnel will indicate at what time it is convenient to remain out of the room. Please respect your indications.

In case of:

Surgical income: Once the surgery is over, the patient will pass to the post -surgical resuscitation unit, where he will remain under observation until his transfer to the hospitalization or home discharge plant is decided.

 

After the surgical intervention, the companions will be informed by the doctor of the result, so they must be located in the room or waiting room in case of outpatient surgery.

Pediatric income: It is essential that they are always accompanied. It is convenient that parents or tutor, at least one of them, are present at the hospital at all times to be able to make appropriate decisions during hospitalization, in addition to providing emotional support to the child.

 

                     

Elderly patients: In an environment that is not usual they can live moments of dislocation, it is for this reason that we recommend that, during night hours they are accompanied by a relative or a reference companion.

Obstetric income: It is advised that, during childbirth, relatives and/or companions wait in the room. Agree with the doctor and the midwife whether or not your partner will be present in childbirth. After childbirth, the patient and the newborn will be transferred together to the hospitalization plant, except in cases where the medical prescription indicates otherwise.

                     

Nursing staff will advise on the advice regarding the care of the newborn. Healthy babies will remain day and night, during their hospital stay, in the room with the mother.

Visits

There is no certain schedule to visit patients but much of medical and nursing activities are carried out in the morning, so their family and friends can visit you more comfortably in the afternoon. Do not forget that too long or frequent visits can tire the patient. The best visits are the short and quiet.

Tips for companions and visitors:

• The number of companions are limited for the patient's own good.
• Avoid speaking out loud and/or stay in the halls.
• Respect the rest of others.
• We advise that children under 7 years of age make visits.
• The Intensive Care Unit is a restricted area, only entry into the established schedules is allowed.

VISITS TIME INTENSIVE CARE UNIT

Due to the especially delicate state of these patients, the number of visits per box is limited to two people, who must be direct relatives. The visiting schedule for patients admitted to the ICU is:

• From 12:00 to 14:00 hours
• From 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Medical information about the patient's status is offered when their relatives are in the unit. For confidentiality reasons, this information is not provided by phone.

Rest

Added patients require them to guarantee rest. Help us to avoid excessive noise levels and avoid the accumulation of visits in the room and corridors.

Displacements inside the hospital

For security reasons, the hospital doors close at night, starting at 9:00 p.m., the emergency door being open.

Parking

The hospital has private parking from 7.00h to 00.00h. Access by Calle Doctor José Babé Delgado where they have an ATM for their fertilizer.

Café

The relatives and visits of the patients have the cafeteria service that is located on the ground floor and remains open to the public from 8.00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. from Monday to Sunday. Its wide schedule allows visitors to access at any time, request meals to carry as a service for companions. Outside this schedule they have vending machines on the ground floor.

                     

WIFI

The hospital has free Wi -Fi. Network HLA Group (does not require password).

Chapel

The hospital has a chapel located in the inner courtyard. Request access to it at the main reception.
If you want to be visited by the priest in your room, indicate it to plant staff.
