Laparoscopic surgery through a single port is a much less invasive approach than conventional laparoscopic surgery.
It consists of a single incision of 2 or 3 cm in the navel, so there is much less aggression to the abdominal wall and therefore a decrease in the incidence of hernia and infections of the wound.
Pain in the postoperative decreases and recovery is faster than with traditional laparoscopy, which already meant an important advance against classical surgery.
